Puppy fix!

Today I got to hold and cuddle 6 of the most adorable puppies--Siberian Huskies! My favorite! I have wanted a Husky since I was about 10 years old, so this was a real treat. These little babies were only 8 days old and their eyes weren't even open yet! So SO cute. Maybe someday I will be able to own a Husky myself!

Goodbye Tennessee, Hello Washington!

Marlin and I riding on the top of the fire engine in the
Collegedale, TN Christmas parade and throwing candy to the kids.

The U-Haul made it to Washington
thanks to our wonderful parents, Marvin & Lisa!

The view of downtown Chattanooga at night, from the deck of our Hilton room
that I surprised Marlin with the day he got back
from his
 2 week trip to California.

Our 13-mile hike. Won't miss Tennessee's brown, twiggy winters.

I climbed the rock climbing route where Marlin proposed to me and said YES again! I guess I've improved on my climbing skills cause the climb wasn't
nearly so difficult this time around! :)

The firefighter dress-out relay race at our going away party. Guys vs. girls!

Trying to get higher than 345 feet at Florida's highest point!

Oaklahoma's high point on a mesa.

Our car battery died in the middle of no where Oaklahoma. We waited for about two hours before a car came by to jump us and by that time Marlin had
walked 1 1/2 miles to the nearest house to find a person to jump the car!

Oh and we also just about ran out of gas in New Mexico. We passed through towns hoping to get gas, but there were NO gas stations in several towns!

The Texas highpoint in Guadalupe Mountains National Park,
a nice warm change compared to New Mexico.

Eating supper at a cool Southwestern-themed rest area.

Saguaro National Park -- a different kind of beauty. We enjoyed finding many species of cacti there and identified many new Southwestern birds as well.

A Prairie Falcon takes flight.

The California Coast on Highway 1/101.

Fun to see my family!

The guest house

The climbing wall right next to the guest house in the shop.

Our new home! So blessed!

The kitchen/dining room (as seen from the living room)

The master bedroom. If you want to see more pictures of our house, see my (Trisha's) Facebook page.

Pinning Marlin as Firefighter at the graduation ceremony. SO PROUD!

Marlin's fire graduation.

Fire gear to protect my man!

My sister, Emily, graduated from Walla Walla University with her
AS in Pre-Occupational Therapy and is already at Loma Linda starting the OT program.

Stormy, the little kitten girl!

Summer-Fall Fun

The beginning of our trip up Moran-- the approach by canoe. The route we hiked up is in green and the would-have-been summit day is in red.

Leigh Lake where we canoed (around the tip of that peninsula) to the base of Mt. Moran.

The beautiful evening-lit Grand Teton from the view of our base camp on Mt. Moran. Two days later we were just 300 feet from the top of that thing!

Coming down off of Mt. Moran

Hiking up to the Grand Teton base camp.

The view from our new little home on the Grand. Amazing!

Ooops. We got off-route and got in to a little bit of mixed climbing on rock/ice/snow!

Here at 13,400 feet on the Grand Teton, we turned sadly (but smartly) turned around. At least we were higher than anything else around!

Beautiful Cape Hatteras lighthouse on the outer banks of North Carolina.

Bodie Island lighthouse in the late-afternoon light. What you can't see in this picture are all the mosquitoes eating me alive!

Ice cream birthday cake at Dairy Queen!

Marlin makes sure the fire doesn't get too hot on this side of the house.

Fun shot of a great fireman

Reminds me of the movie Fireproof!

Climbing up behind Marlin to the top of a nice hand crack.

Marlin made it to the top of the route (no big surprise there)!

Girls' Day climbing with my bestie, Cristy!
